Purchases have repeatedly been fresh. Cinnamon adds some sweetness and flavor that enables me to use less sugar. Ceylon cinnamon is milder and safer than other types (like Saigon cinnamon), so I can use larger amounts (1/4+ teaspoon in my oatmeal or yogurt) that MIGHT also be therapeutic.

When I make dessert coffee and add a teaspoon of this cinnamon, I don't get the nighttime effects of adding too much sugar to the day's diet (restless legs, namely) - so it really does balance blood sugar. It's always an air-tight seal, and it always smells heavenly. Would recommend Ceylon cinnamon always, and this brand has always worked for me.

I read that to get the biggest health benefit, choose Ceylon cinnamon. Chinese or Saigon cinnamon ( also called cassis) is the type commonly found in grocery stores. Both have healthy antioxidants, but Ceylon cinnamon is more potent. And the best part is that it's organic. I use 1/2 teaspoon on my hot oatmeal in the morning and have added it to yogurt, too. Besides the great flavor, cinnamon is a natural way to help ward off diabetes and it's also said to help conquer motion sickness. The information provided beside this product on the Amazon web site should be enough to convince you that this cinnamon is the best! It comes packaged in a self-sealing foil. Unfortunately, the self seal didn't work on my package so I folded the top over and used a rubberband to keep it sealed. Without hesitation, this will be my go-to cinnamon from now on.

i love your ceylon cinnamon! i was using my old "cinnamon" and thought, oh, no! i'd better check to see if it is interfering with my warfarin. sure enough, it is a bad thing. i had no clue there is more than one type of cinnamon and most are not the real thing. so i love that the ceylon has a wonderful flavor, is safer to take with my warfarin and is safer for my liver. i use it daily in hot water with local raw honey. since starting this, i have also noticed some weight loss. i alternate the cinnamon "tea" with raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar with the honey and hot water. i surely will order more when i run low. nan

I don't often write reviews but I felt this product deserved one. I'm in love with this cinnamon. There is an obvious difference in taste from your regular supermarket cinnamon. It has a spicy yet sweet taste. A little goes a long way because it is strong flavored. I'm a diabetic so I have used it in my coffee and tea to help lower my blood sugar levels. Honestly, it tastes so good I have not thought about the great health benefits it has. My next try will be with heated up Hood low carb milk.
